“I have always dreamed of becoming a hairstylist, but I never imagined a career could be as enjoyable and rewarding as my career at Blackbird Salon is.

 

I began cosmetology school in August of 2022. While completing my program, I began searching for salons that would enrich my educational experience and prepare me for my future career.  

 

Blackbird Salon was on my list, and I consider myself lucky to have been offered a position with them.  I officially joined the Team August of 2023, and I immediately began learning more efficient and effective ways to communicate with clients and execute what my clients want. The more time I spend in the salon, the more I appreciate the work we do as hairstylists. Being able to make a client feel beautiful and leave with confidence and the knowledge to maintain their style at home is an amazing feeling to carry.

 

I have developed so much as a professional since I began my career with Blackbird; most notably, my confidence in my work has grown exponentially as I have learned to execute many of the techniques, tips, and tricks other Blackbird stylists have shown me. I love coming to work each day ready to do new things and make each client feel special and seen in their own way. I am grateful for my team and for Jennifer for seeing something in me and giving me this opportunity. I can’t wait to see what the future holds for me at Blackbird Salon.
